FYI. Brazil is blocking TELEGRAM users. It seems like they'll have to use. VPN to access, but 90% of my content comes from Brazil... Dark Day...


The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, determined that internet platforms and providers block the operation of Telegram throughout Brazil. The decision responds to a request from the Federal Police and stipulates a fine of R$ 100 thousand in case of non-compliance.

The app is seen as one of the main concerns for the 2022 elections, due to the lack of controls on the dissemination of fake news, and it has also become the subject of discussion in Congress and the TSE for possible restrictions on its operation in Brazil.

The blocking request comes after Telegram does not respond to court decisions to block profiles pointed out as disseminators of false information, including that of blogger Allan dos Santos.
