He wasn't quite dead yet. But, I'm certain he didn't. It appeared that whatever hit his head caused a brain hemorrhage. As his skull fills with blood it pushes the brain down against the spinal chord. You can see how he became unresponsive and his breathing had become slow and erratic. Had the video gone on for a few more seconds, we would likely see the breathing cease entirely. Had he been able to go to a modern hospital, he might have survived. Great video Meatpie. Real life is better than TV fiction.
