This is a photo of the first public hanging in West Palm Beach. It is of great interest because it shows the condemned man during his descent to a broken neck and to eternity;after his drop has started and before the rope brings it to a conclusion. This neck-stretching exercise took place in 1914. I've not seen another such time stopping photo of a hanging before.
