Senior French officials were reportedly upset when this photo of a French Soldier in Mali was circulated. He shielded his face from dust by using a 'skull' shaped scarf. Given the political sensitivity of the area - it was felt to be in bad taste :dunno:

 
Hypocritical as usual. Mainstream is too shielded from the realities of war - the mayhem, dismemberment, revenge killings/torture. If the public are forced to see all these images, maybe some attitudes would change

:agreed: Not to mention the many injuries and casualties due to 'friendly fire'.
