this guy isnt heavily injured. it looks like a long-range shotgun-shot loaded with a "birdshot shell". looks worse than it is. anyway lucky bastard...

Agreed. The pellets don't penetrate very deep, and judging from the spread he was shot 2-3 times but not at close range. The docs have the fun job of poking around each wound looking for the pellet. Hopefully he got several in his ass too!
