breaking the news of President Kennedy's assassination
while in a live performance of the Boston Symphony Orchestra
in Boston, Massachusetts
on the afternoon of November 22, 1963
Maestro Leinsdorf then and there suddenly decides to perform
Ludwig Von Beethoven's
Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55
Second Movement -
Marcia Funebre: Adagio assai in C minor
or commonly known as
BEETHOVEN'S FUNERAL MARCH
