Maybe you two should talk more :u fucker:?
Republican's views are so opposite to 'liberal' I can hardly believe this. But then again if you are fine with your BF being fucked over badly... :hahahahha:

When I met him hes was labeling himself as Republican, after knowing me for a while he realized he is more Libertarian. However he is still registered as a Republican. The best way of putting it is he is a conservative libertarian, while I am a more liberal one. I do have my conservative moments though, I am pro guns, pro capital punishment, I am not a fan of abortion but there are exceptions and I want tighter control on immigration.

Bindi, how did Obamacare screw your BF? Just curious.

I don't really know a lot of the details, but it had something to do with his insurance rates.

Romney reminds me to a used car salesman which you can't trust. Not a bit. And with Obamacare, the US - finally after debading it over and over again since WWII - has healthinsurance for EVERY American citizen and bringing it up to average European standards. Even for the less fortuned. That Republicans can't live with that is logical: Republicans are a-socialists. They don't care for the poor. They don't care for womens rights. They don't care for the rights of any minorities (incl the Gay community).

They care for war. They care for oil. They care for the rich. My vote goes for Obama. Let him finish the job which I could not, because the Republicans have obstructed him and the democratic party over- and over again. The US would like to be seen as the 'largest democracy on Earth'. Under the republicans, it will be a dictatorship. Even worse as Belarus. For the guys who voted here for Romney: Be ashamed for yourselves.

I totally get the, "used car salesman" thing, I have thought of that myself. Remember John Edwards? Well he REALLY looked like one, always gave me the creeps.
I'm not one of those people that will try to talk about things I don't really get. So it is hard for me to do a lot of arguing regarding Obamacare. Due to disability, it doesn't effect me. All I know is that a LOT of people disliked it, from both sides of the isle. I agree that ANY gay person who votes for Romney should be ashamed of themselves. I say take out all politicians and hold a lottery. All able bodied adults must enter this lottery. Then they draw two names at random. One will be the pres. and the other VP. Sure as hell would make out better than regular politicians. :hahahahha:

Congratulations to all CDG members who supported Obama. :coffe:

I don't really know a lot of the details, but it had something to do with his insurance rates.

Well, that's a very general statement. Does he honestly believe that his insurance rates were changed directly from the ACA? I don't know what his financial situation is, but if the ACA wasn't enacted, things are definitely going to go bad to worse. Uninsureds will flood ER's like they always do and we ALL pay for them indirectly as well. If anything, ACA/Obamacare will put more limits on what insurance companies can and cannot do in the name of their bottom line profits such as it would be illegal to deny care to folks with pre-existing conditions, stop insuring people who develop cancer, etc etc.

He seemed to change his tune a bit when I pressed him more. He said that Obamacare wasn't really too bad and it is good that many people who couldn't afford healthcare can now get some. He did mention something about long waiting lists for medical procedures and the tiresome, "he encourages freeloading, he said he was going to do so much and did so little, unemployment is up." (even though I have seen numbers that say otherwise). I just let him go off, he grows tired of the conversation and we move on. In all honesty, it is hard to take his politics seriously when he voted for Bush both times. Ugh!

romney likes to fire people and think 47% of americans want a handout thats why he lost. romney doesnt know what its like to put up with asshole bosses just so you can eat. and that comment he made that 47% of americans dont pay taxes is complete bullshit. there are sales taxes, cigarette taxes, gas taxes, and single people including many gays working two jobs get slammed the hardest in taxes. gays that pay into the social security system their whole lives when they die cannot leave their benefits to their partner like a straight person. if romney had to send his sons to war he would think twice but these fucken politicians never feel the pain they induce on the public.

Face it, the Repugnants are taken over overwhelmingly by the religious nuts ever since their party got infiltrated by Jerry Falwell and his ilk. If they continue to hold on to these bronze aged morality, they will never take hold of power again as the younger public get to voting age and are much more socially conscious.
