The United States had a "sea burial" for terrorist Osama Bin Laden. The reasoning behind this is that they couldn't find a country that would allow them to bury him on their lands, thereby creating a site that terrorists could use to memorialize and create a shrine to evil scum like him.
Now, Islamic scholars are criticizing the sea burial because it "violated Islamic tradition." scholars interpreted it as a humiliating disregard for the standard Muslim practice of placing the body in a grave with the head pointed toward the holy city of Mecca.

Why is this even an issue? Osama Bin Laden is part of the reason when people think of Muslim they think of terrorist. Everything he did and everything he was in life was totally against Islam (if it really is the 'religion of peace' they claim). Besides, he is also responsible for the deaths of countless Muslims since his time on this Earth.
