It's insane! Every year people fall fo rit, instead of being organised and doing their shopping in the January sales for the following xmas. By March I usually have all but a tiny amount of my xmas shopping taken care of and can feel smug and superior for the rest of the year!

BBC: US Black Friday marred by shootings, pepper-sprayings

The US is a horrible nation. The BBC now reports some serious incidents on Black Friday:

• A man is in a stable but critical condition in hospital after being shot in the early hours as he left a Walmart with a group of people in San Leandro, California, when they resisted two armed robbers who demanded their purchases
• Police are reviewing CCTV as they look for a woman who left 20 people with minor injuries when she used pepper spray as shoppers rushed to buy Xboxes at a Los Angeles area Walmart on Thursday evening
• A man was reportedly detained for resisting arrest after a fight at the jewellery counter in the early hours at a Walmart in Kissimmee, Florida
• Police are looking for two suspects after gunfire erupted early on Friday at a shopping centre in Fayetteville, North Carolina; there were no reports of injuries
• Security workers reportedly used pepper spray on shoppers who began grabbing at goods before they were unloaded from pallets at a Walmart in Kinston, North Carolina
• A woman was shot in the foot by a robber as she loaded her purchases into her car in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; the gunman fled as one of the victim's companions brandished a revolver and fired warning shots

Shopping is definitely the favorite hobby of many and this ridiculous day definitely brings out the really crazy fuckers who've lost perspective big time. Kind of like when Apple releases a new product, but more widespread.

I was out shopping all day too today and I came back in the house my socks reeked so hard they poisoned the whole room.

Lot's of frantic shoppers here too, pushing and shoving like pigs.

Since you don't have Thanksgiving in Bulgaria, is there a day set aside where retailers slash their prices for one day before Xmas? What were you shopping for? Large sized freezers? LOL

No m8, no need for fridges at the moment as it's a morgue freezer outside day and night. If I leave a naked dead guy out on the balcanoy he won't decompose for weeks, it's so cold.

I and my sis bought some cosmetics shit and washing powder for my smelly socks.

The big discounts here are after New Year's. It's ridicilous but last year I went shopping on January 1 while everyone was still comatose and not only were shops empty but everything from food to clothes was half the price.

There was a guy here in Arizona who was trying to get a video game for his grandson. ( I think that's what it was) anyway this lady tried to rip it from his hands. He stuck it down his shirt and was dealing with the lady and the police saw it and thought he was shoplifting. The grabbed him and threw him to the floor and smashed his face into the concrete floor.
They beat the shit out of him . They had pictures of his face all over the local media.
I never shop on Black Friday.....I only shop Wall Mart at 2 am in the morning. There taint no one there The super store one exit down on the freeway from me is open 24/7
