Did we? I didn't catch that - and I agree - The US needs to chill on the hyper-nationalism front and join the world. The Right Wing has even gone so far as to say that their highlighting of the NHS was an insult to the US. Please.

The opening ceremony was beautiful and Mitt Romney made a fool of himself with all those ridiculous statements and sadly to us Europeans your next president looks completely out of sync!!!
Michelle Obama is also frequently on the frontpages here, she made international news when she patted the Queen on the back during a visit in 2009.
This is was described as "unprecedented" and "extremely rude" by the media here.

I dont think Romney will win since he is a likeble person and elections in the US are nothing more than a popularity contest. But, does it really matter who wins? Obama and Romney are funded by the same people and they are the ones who will give the cards.
As someone who is a progressive, I see Obama is a great disapointment. There are many serious problems in American society and Obama did little to nothing to fix them. Even the Obamacare thing I think is ridicuklous since I was hoping for universal healthcare like they have in Canada and Europe. Obama wasnt even willing to go after the banker and financers who agravated the financial crisis.
Republicans like to acuse Obama of being a socialist. If Obama is a socialist then he is a lousy one at best.
