Two "amigos" were stabbed to death early Sunday morning in front of a bar called "Full Drink" in a town in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. 19-year old Miguel Angel Hernandez Gonzalez and 18-year old Jose Luis Carboney Vasquez lost their lives after a violent altercation with two other young men.
Vasquez was employed by the Mexican government at the National Institute of Geography and Informatics. He is shown below dead on the street in front of the "Full Drink" and on a slab at the morgue. His mother identified his naked corpse at the morgue late Sunday after young Jose had been autopsied. The mother began making inquiries at the police station after Jose did not return home and his friends did not know of his whereabouts. She finally was directed to the morgue where she learned her son had been murdered.
