My country, a member of the EU, buys 100% of its natural gas from Russia.
Russia demands that all countries pay in US dollars. The euro is very week.
Bulgaria is tied with the euro so gas prices in my country have risen triple fold in the last year.
From July 1, 2010 gas prices are going up again 25%.
From Janury 1, 2010 Russian gas giant Gazprom will ask for another increas in gas prices up to $400.
Such high prices are unbearable for consumers here, people are going on hunger strikes because whole industrial complexes are shutting down, what they are producing is no longer profitabel.
Russia is tightening its grip around Europe, bullying us constantly with higher and higher prices so that they can fill Mocow with gold and riches.
If one country doesn't pay, like the Ukraine or Belarus they immediately shut down all the pipes and transit to Europe, holding all nations captive.
Future headquaters of the Russian gas giant Gazprom in downtown Moscow.
Russia is boasting its economy by selling expensive natural gas to Europe while smaller nations suffer.
Communism fell but big brother continues to do what it did before.
