Once again, priceless antiquities from mankind's ancient past are being destroyed in the Middle East. This time in Egypt.

Mid Eastern countries many years ago decried and they STILL decry major cultural and educational institutions in England and the United States discovering "their" ancient antiquities and taking them out of the Middle East to their own countries.

Such is the case with many ancient antiquities right here at the University of Chicago's ORIENTAL INSTITUTE which in addition to many priceless ancient artifacts from the Near East has the ACTUAL restored stellar tile entrance to Ancient Babylon known as King Hammurabi's Gate circa 1792 B.C. :

WELL ... DUHHHHH. SINCE such totally screwed-UP countries like Egypt and Iraq CANNOT secure such ancient treasures of Human Civilization on Earth, then THEY DO NOT DESERVE these ancient antiquities BACK.

WHAT priceless ancient antiquities that have been repatriated with such countries as Egypt and Iraq is a BIG BIG MISTAKE.

THEY don't DESERVE such treasures BACK ever ever AGAIN since they cannot protect them, so NO MORE ANYTHING BACK TO THEM, period!!!!

SUCH absolutely BOTCHED UP countries, wantonly DESTROYING mankind's ancient legacy and past.

SHOULD MAKE all CIVILIZED PEOPLE on this planet just want to totally BARF UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aye all the Egypt stuff in the British Museum is much safer staying there They have no respect for history like the Taliban who blew up the Bhuddas in Afghanistan

HOLY SHIT! That's in Chicago???? And all the times I've been there and never gone to the Oriental Institute. Just went to top of my list for next time.

YES, this GRAND ENTRY GATE of ANCIENT BABYLON is indeed IN the University of Chicago's ORIENTAL INSTITUTE right here in Chicago. It is an extremely stellar collection of ancient antiquities from throughout the Near East and rivals the British Museum and even the Cairo Museum. It is first-class and one of the most extensive collections in the entire world.

WE are so delighted to have IT here and NOT in the MidEast where chances are HIGH it would have ALL been destroyed by now by the warring radical Moslems and military dictators that RULE that one-toime highly civilized part of the world.
