I just went to see the new movie,

Holiday Season ....

Very sophisticated (not for the uneducated, dumbed-down masses),
awesome backgrounds and costumes,
complex yet so intriguing, well-acted, stunning and factual.

And so many hot manly men
and even
hot, horny homosexual man-with-man scenes!

I haven't seen the movie, but I did read the book, and I recall being appalled at how her beheading was botched. Did the film show her execution?

Yes quite a story, I've visited the site of the castle where she was executed, though there's not a lot left.

I'm not sure how the hot, horny homosexual man-with-man scenes fit with the real-life story though. Though it's perfectly possible - her son, James VI and I, was gay and even paid one of his courtiers to build a new wing to his stately home for royal visits with a secret doorway between the King's bedchamber and the Duke of Buckingham's (that's Buckingham as in Fuckinghim).

He did indeed - King James VI of Scotland and King James I of England.

More than 20 years ago, I read a book about Mary, Queen of Scots. I remember a part where she was horrified to discover her husband/betrothed , Duncan, having sex with a man. The word used was "he-bawd", I think.

He-bawd is a great word. I'll try to remember it. Duncan is kind of a gay name, so I'm not surprised he was dicking around with a dude. However, he should NOT have been stringing Mary along. I think it's despicable for a gay man to marry a woman. It always ends up being humiliating for the wife (and the children too if the he-bawd is selfish enough to make them with her).
