A company director produced a knife and killed himself while his partner watched on the internet, almost 7,000 miles away.
Adrian Rowland, 53, was in India on business when he died while talking to the woman in the UK on Skype.
She called police who alerted the Indian authorities, but doctors were unable to save the father-of-three.
Today his partner, ex-wife and children were being comforted at their homes near Reading, Berkshire.
