From a Dutch newspaper 16 April 2012 (my translation), and check out the hilarious comment in italics below:
MURDERED WOMEN PROCESSED IN MEATPIES
Police in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco are investigating a horrible case of cannibalism in the town of Garanhuns.
A man 60 years of age and two women of 52 and 23 years old, who were living together as threesome,
are suspected of having murdered two other women.
The three allegedly have prepared meatpies from their flesh and have sold these on the street.
The suspects claim to belong to a sect that fights overpopulation: their target was to kill at least three women per year.
The suspects believe their souls will be cleansed by eating human flesh. They lured victims by promising them a job as nanny.
Shocked by the news the suspects had sold these human-flesh-pies on the street, an angry mob set fire
to the house where the three lived, which unfortunately rendered finding evidence more difficult.
But there seems to be more than enough evidence anyway, because the man, the leader of the threesome,
kept a detailed and illustrated diary explaining their motives,
and even had his authorship of the diary officially registered by a notary.
