The world has gone totally crazy.

Cheap but not many want to live in Detroit - unemployment + crime.
 
rent cheap, don't buy all the extra crap people feel their homes with, and save all the money for touring the world.
 
Neither place..sorry..been and lived in both countries...happy in Ireland....if I HAD to choose...then it would be UK, but not London....

Lived there for 7 years...had enough of it...too many pple struggling...high prices(for EVERYTHING)..prefer the quieter life where I'm at...
 
No one in their right mind would live in Russia.

And, Meatpie. It's not clever being selective when choosing a London hovel to compare. There are, literally 1000s of very nice properties in London for far less than 500,000 and, at least, people can be happy and safe knowing that London and the UK is NOT run by gangsters and despots. Unlike Russia.

I can't believe the prices you brits have to pay for housing. Its only one freaking bedroom! :shock: That better be an upscale neighborhood for that price with a good view! :damn wtf:
