2 Dead German SS Soldiers

A couple of dead German SS soldiers lie face up in a small pile of corpses in the road - look real peaceful. Dead and peaceful, but no obvious wounds to me - except the guy in front has some small dark holes on his top left arm.

This is a HR Image from my older war archives. I don't remember this pic on CDG - or even seeing it on many other sites over the past couple of years - so I don't think its a repost - again - sorry if it is.

Should be the victim of poison gas warfare, to see if they may wear protective clothing. Dead guy how not to strip.

Looks real to me there are probably other entry wounds we can't see. Unfortunately WW2 German field graves are being dug up by memorabilia dealers so some men will never be identified - their ID tags taken.
