I strongly suspect that some members here lack motivation what are your goals in life what do you hope to accomplish in your lifetime

I guess I achieved most of mine. Success and professional respect in my chosen career leading to a comfortable retirement, a happy marriage with two children and grandchildren, some great friends who I see regularly as well as some great guys who I have met on this site and who, were it not for geography, I would be honoured to count amongst them.
Some regrets too inevitably but if the remainder matches what has gone before I shall have no ground for complaint.
So yes I feel I have achieved something in life.

Are you including yourself in your comment? Also, no one "turns" gay. Some may take longer to realize their sexual orientation, but it is something we're born with.

I'm simply going by what he said previously
He was married then after that ended he turned gay.
I would b inclined 2 agree with u that some r born that way not all however. No I'm not including my self and not everybody here just some of u.

I believe that DeathProof deserves an answer to his question
First I loved my wife, was totally faithful to her throughout our marriage, and how many people can honestly say that, and nursed her devotedly during her illness and when she lay dying.
I suspect that my kids might have initial, difficulties if I met and settled down with someone becaus they might see him or her as in some way replacing their mum. But it don't think it would matter to them whether it was a man or a woman and ultimately they would accept anyone who made me happy. Both my wife and I brought them up to accept all people on their merits and there has never been any homophobia in their makeup.
And did I turn gay or has it's always there. I don't know. I was married to a wonderful person who I loved and whilst she was alive I neve wanted anyone else. Only after her death did instart to feel attracted to men. Which doesn't mean don't enjoy spending time with attractive women, just that I don't feel sexually attracted to them. But I wouldn't have been so attracted when I was married. Had I not met My future wife in my teens could I have fallen in love with a man, I don't know. The matter never arose becaus I met my soulmate.
Not sure that is the answer DeathProof expected but it is the truth.

Sounds like a reasonable answer sorry if I offended because I did not mean to

Mate.
Of course I wasn't offended by your posting and I never had any doubts that it was a genuine enquiry. And whilst I have no doubt that we may be crossing swords on various issues in the future I genuinely believe that our debates will be conducted in a spirit of good humour.
And let me take this opportunity of wishing you a really happy new year.

I think it is a mistake to classify people as either 'straight' or 'gay'.
All men and women are sexually attrackted by beautiful other men and women to some degree.
If a man is predominantly attrackted to women we call him 'straight', and if predominantly attrackted to other men we call him 'gay',
but no one is 100% straight or 100% gay.
Society forces us to 'choose' between the two, and if you're 70% gay and 30% straight you have to suppress that 70% if you want to pass as straight.
Many men do so!
If later in life they finally want to satisfy their gay urges they have never lost of course, then they don't 'turn gay', they are removing the artificial shackles they tied themselves up in.

It is better to think of each person being on a scale somewhere between 0% gay and 100% gay, with almost nobody exactly at the very ends.
Straights are probably in the 0-40% range, bisexuals in the 30-70% range and gays in the 60-100% range.

BTW I am quite satisfied with the goals in life I've already achieved, and there are quite a few I'm still persuing, with motivation!

I think that Piercedchest has made a very perceptive comment. I guess for most of us the question of whether we are straight or gay doesn't really arise. We admire handsome men and beautiful woman, and it's interesting how we give those adjectives male and female characteristics, but we don't see such admiration as sexual unless and until we fall in love and then gender is irrelevant.
And I agree with him on a further point. No one whilst alive should ever feel that everything Has been achieved and that there are not further goals to be attained. Those of us who are lucky have achieved much that we want and value but the day that I stop seeking booth for myself and others will probably be the day that I die.
Happy new year everyone.

I don't admire handsome men
I respectfully disagree that I'm any % gay.

I admire beautiful women, just not in a sexual way. I admire handsome men, doesn't mean I want to make out with them. you don't have to be gay to admire male, or female beauty. What about Michelangelo's statute of David for example. Are you suggesting you have to be gay to admire, or even a little aroused by its Beauty.
And mate, don't be so sensitive. Read Piercedchests recent posting in this thread.
If I was being a little facetious I might suggest the man protests too much. But no, I don't think you see yourself as gay in any way

To admire the statue no to be aroused by the statue well
And I'm not trying to imply that anything's wrong with that it is what it is if it walks like a duck it's a duck

lacking motivation: guilty as charged
goals in life: suck my own cock
accomplishments hoped for: finally get my dickhead in my mouth...still working on it
