It's not clear at all to me what transpired here. This was for sure an unusual method of suicide, but why would he have believed he could kill himself like that? Also,what's the red line across the back of his neck? How did that get there?

Yes I don't understand either. Hs he hanged himself and the noose been taken off before the pics were taken?
