I remember reading a remark by someone who had been near the base of the Twin Towers on 9/11. This witness said the bodies hitting the ground sounded like bombs going off. From the poor-quality photos I've seen of the WTC jumpers' remains, they were even more unrecognizable than those of the poor fellow pictured above.
