Are there perhaps too many giraffes in the wild? Maybe they are being hunted because their populations have increased to such an extent that they've become a nuisance in Africa, the way deer have become in the U.S.

The Summer Solstice has now passed, and thus Demon's 666 posts have become much less ominous. As soon as he makes his next post all danger will pass.

I don't know. Given that the giraffes couldn't shoot back, hunting them actually sounds rather unsporting.
