Firefox doesn't play YouTube

Seems after the usual automatic updates, I can't watch YouTube videos on Mozilla's Firefox; can't see them on here either. I have to use IE or Chrome. Any suggestions on how to fix this vexing problem?

Newer versions are not always better, downgrade your version. I myself use an older version of FireFox because after upgrade I had problem viewing some of my favourite websites.

It seems a buggy version of adobe flash (for Firefox) was released - many people reported they were unable to use youtube with firefox as a result. The 'fix' was to uninstall flash and install the previous version.

Yes, that is exactly what I had to do
