I found this info:
In the spring of 2012, the Russian TV channel Rossia 1 broadcast the impressive TV-series The White Guard by director Sergey Snezhkin, based on the novel by Mikhail Bulgakov.
The beautiful renderings of, among others, Konstantin Khabensky (Aleksey Turbin), Mikhail Porechenkov (Viktor Myshlaevsky), Nikolay Efremov (Nikolay Turbin) and Ksenia Rappoport (Elena Talberg) bring this series to unprecedented height.
The series has got 8 episodes of about 45 minutes each.

not really sure if that DVD would play correctly in american DVD players?
