The accident took place at around 2:30pm on Saturday March 17, 2012 at kilometer 395 of BR-040 highway, near the city of Felixlândia, region of Central do Estado, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. People in the bus were employees of a company called Ipatinga. The bus collided with a tractor trailer carrying a large steel pipe. At least 15 people died.

Steel Pipe, so that is why the bus got so shredded up.....

First thoughts that came to mind was a real life example regarding physics and forward momentum stuff and also about the Andrea Doria disaster where two cruise liners collided, with one slicing through the other and a few of those victims and survivors were scooped up and then transferred to the other cruise liner as it parted ways.

Thank you for the share, especially this picture.

That's exactly half a person, lengthwise.
