"The picture was taken by Mayhem’s guitarist after finding the leader singer's dead body after an apparent suicide. The guy who took this picture was later killed by a replacement member of the band. Pretty weirdo/fascinating stuff if you wanna look into."

I know that story for years ago, is a "classic" in the Extreme Metal history of Norway... but Im not much into Death Metal, only the most technical bands, melodic or symphonic subgernres.

Mayhem are still active and give concerts around the world, including the biggest festivals. Looks the morbid still sells tickets...




..But if you wat to see the most brutal covers, only write "Goregrind" on google. There are lots of real gore covers. But i dont consider it music, only fucking noise and a man snarling.

I'm not much into heavy metal at all so I don't know the subgenres, but if it's (mainly) 60s-70s and a good guitar riff, that's different.
