I hope trains aren't supposed to stop every time someone throws himself under their wheels. That would become seriously disruptive to the rail industry. I understand that a motor vehicle is expected to await the authorities when a pedestrian is hit on the road, but I think train suicides should be handled differently. I don't see what's to be gained by bringing the train to a halt.
