2017 has been officially declared by Mexican authorites as one of the bloodiest years in the country’s modern history. :Rock2::automatic:

Last year, there were 20,792 homicides in Mexico — a 22% increase over 2015, and a 35% jump over 2014.

This year has seen an unprecedented uptick in violence, with federal statistics showing that 2,186 murders were committed in May, surpassing the previous monthly high of 2,131 in May 2011, according to a review of records that date back to 1997.

Mexico recorded 9,916 murders in the first five months of 2017, roughly a 30% increase over the same period last year.

The situation has hit such calamitous levels in states such as Guerrero, to south of Mexico City – where armed groups are fighting for control of the heroin industry – that morgues there have been unable to handle the dead bodies.

Below is a selection of pics from around Mexico all guys were killed last couple of months. Vote for this thread if you like and comment.

And is July yet...

Yes.

It might also be one of the hottest years in Mexico's history, so all the corpses are decomposing faster. Acapulco is reported to be especially fragrant.
