Why do you think we are the way we are?

Where do necrophiliac desires come from? Are they inherited? Are they a result of upbringing? As far back as I can remember I've felt this way and I had a decent childhood. Is my dad secretly a necrophiliac??? Lmao

I always thought it was from experiences from childhood where we were powerless to stop a bully and wanted to have ultimate control over others. When they're dead you can do whatever you want with them... ???

I agree with Meatpie. It's genetic. Ordained from conception. No need to wonder or to question. Just enjoy.

For me, the attraction to boys was from birth. As was the unique desire to cut and bite and kill them. Never questioned it. It was me.

I will admit I did feel that way about a bully back in middleschool. Not because I was powerless though , I just thought he was cute lmao

so, paraphilic disorders are known to be heritable...or rather the *tendency to develop a paraphilic disorder. Which one you end up with is sort of the luck of the draw. In short, yes it is partly genetic. As with most things its a combination of genes and environment. This one seems to correlate heavily with early childhood neglect/abuse/trauma, and also has a fairly high comorbidity with cluster B (borderline, antisocial, narcissistic)personality disorders. From all the lurking I've done I can definitely say I wonder about some of yalls childhood 😅 but then there are some of us who are relatively trauma-free, aside from the usual mental wear and tear of life. Which brings us back to genetics lol

If any of my fellow nerds wanna read the studies I can send links 🤓

I'd be very interested in reading the studies!

Here you go! It focuses a lot on p***philia (as one would expect) but does discuss more general paraphilic disorders as well. happy reading :)

Possibly from a combination of upbringing and genetics. For others, maybe it's about power and fear of rejection, or a gradual dehumanization of others until they are reduced to objects brought on by a sense of detachment. Of course we care about people just like everyone else and have the same struggles and goals, but ultimately we also recognize that we will eventually die and when that happens, we are no longer people, and simply meat left to decay in the dirt or burn in a furnace. We are dead at that point so we do not and cannot care about what becomes of us afterwards.
