Two young guys instant kill after head-on near Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Three teenagers died in a head-on crash as the car they were travelling in tried to overtake another vehicle.
The Vauxhall Corsa collided head on with a silver Volkswagen Golf as it tried to go past a Fiat Punto outside Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

The teenage driver had attempted the manoeuvre after a Vauxhall Vectra driver had made it past.

Two teenage boys, and the16-year-old girl who was in the rear seat all died in the collision. A fourth person, another teenage male, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the accident.
The incident happened on the Adwick Road, Mexborough, at around 8pm last night, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said today.
The driver of the Golf, an elderly man, also suffered minor injuries in the crash.
A police spokesman said: 'Before it could complete the manoeuvre the Corsa collided head-on with a Volkswagen Golf travelling in the opposite direction.'
Police cordoned off the scene for several hours following the accident while an investigation got underway.
The teenage boy in the Corsa who suffered serious injuries was being treated at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
