Temperatures drop to -60 °C in Russia, -33 °C in Moscow

The United States is not the only nation battling extreme weather this week.

Arctic cold is gripping large portions of the Russian Federation with temperatures as low as -60°C today in Yakutsk and -33°C Moscow region today.

Hundreds of homeless people have been taken to hospital with frostbite.
