The actor Julián Ortega, who had participated in television series such as 'Élite' or 'El pueblo', has died at the age of 41, according to the Union of Actors and Actresses this Monday.

Ortega died on Sunday afternoon by drowning on the beach of Zahora, (Cádiz, Spain), according to municipal sources. Several people alerted 112 at 5:30 p.m. yesterday that they had pulled a man out of the water with symptoms of drowning.

Actor, author and director, Ortega graduated from the Resad in Madrid and worked mainly in the world of theater, in pieces such as 'Mestiza', under the orders of Yayo Cáceres, 'Bodas de sangre', with Pablo Messiez, or 'Zenit', with Els Joglars.

In addition, he appeared in films such as 'Mi amor perdido', by Emilio Martínez Lázaro, or 'El otro barrio', by Salvador García Ruiz, with which he made his debut at the age of 12, as well as on television, in productions such as the aforementioned 'Elite' or 'Las chicas del cable', and more recently '4 estrellas'.

As a director, he took the helm in productions such as 'Los monólogos de la marihuana', 'Una de piratas', 'Las criadillas de Genet' or 'El caballero de Olmedo (El de Lope no, el otro)'

Drowning means his handsome and hairy body probably arrived at the morgue in mint condition.
