I ended up writing to serial killers umder a paid agreement with a forensic psychiatrist.

He had the idea violent behavior could be predicted by the "man-tree-house" exam.

I had no opinion, but he was paying me.

I waa tasked with writing to convicted sex killers on his letterhead asking them to make a drawing "of a man, tree, and house, " with no other instructions.

I did so and ended up corresponding with dozens of convicted sex killers, including Gerard Schaefer, who hung 35 women and Florida serial killer David Gore.

To my surprise, almost all responded with details of their kills, hour by hour. What they did minute by minute with the makes and females they killed. All admitted necrophilia.

If they admitted to a crime, if they provided details about time and place I would have been obligated to contact authorities, but information was only very vague .

I considered writing a book, but reflected details of a daughter's torture and murder would be cruel and inappropriate.

They often kept the bodies for several days.

Jack Trawich wrote of the abduction of two runaways, one a hitch-hiker and another at a bus-stop, taking them to a mobile home in a deserted area, doing all sorts of things to them, and after killing them, keeping the bodies for sexual purposes for days, before dismemberment.

It is impossible to know if these stories were true. Life gets lonely on death row, creative writing a method of passing the time, and I waa authorized to deposit small sums in his inmate acount, which lubricated the relationship. All of my correspondance was fowarded to the physician I worked for.

I might add prison sensors will prevent a person from writing concerning details of a sexual crime. Under a physician's letterhead these letters were not censored because they were "part of a psychiatric evaluation for their defense". I obtained details from the Green River killer by using a letterhead and envelopes from an attorney. The attorney did not exist and the street address was from a rented mail service. This was the only time I did this not on orders from the physician, although I did get a "tree-house- man" drawing. He confided many details of several homicides that were at variance with what the websites have written. Again, to publish this material would only inflict pain on the relatives of these victims.

Fascinating stuff thank you for sharing.

I don't get the idea behind the man tree house test.

This describes it. In the United States it is often used to obtain an insanity plea.

This is absolutely fascinating but I'm having difficulty viewing the entire text of what you posted, Dupytrens....
