Former Scotland international prop Adam Walker has passed away at the age of 31.

Walker made more than 200 career appearances during his playing career for Scotland, Huddersfield, Barrow (loan), Swinton), Hull KR, St Helens, Wakefield, Salford and Leigh.

The Bradford-born prop won 14 caps for Scotland on the international stage, playing in the 2013 World Cup.

Walker played more than 100 games for Hull KR between 2013-16, where he was a fan’s favourite. He played in the 2015 Challenge Cup final for Hull KR and in the 2019 Super League Grand Final for Salford.

He was banned from playing for 20 months in 2017 after testing positive for cocaine after a game for Trinity at Widnes.

Adam’s twin brother Johnny is currently part of Scotland’s backroom staff as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup.

That sucks man. When they are so young I always suspect: drugs, suicide, stroke, undiagnosed heart condition in that order
