On April 6, 2020, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, a 31-year-old Birch Run, Michigan man identified as D.B. committed suicide at a local Walmart parking lot in Clio, Michigan. Witnesses say he jumped on top of his car with a 20-gauge shotgun, shot once in the air, and yelled that the government was trying to “kill us all” before shooting himself in the head.
