On 28 February 2023, a passenger train and a freight train collided in Thessaly, Greece, resulting in the deaths of at least 38 people and injuring dozens making it the deadliest railway accident on record in Greece.

This young man is the only one who is still alive and in critical condition. He is also the only survivor from the first wagon of the train.
