After experiencing so much hate from so-called "Christians" for most of my life, I love it when I see pictures of their mythical savior in a precarious situations.

It seems to me that a photo manip of Jesus Christ being raped was posted on this site a year or two ago.

I wish I could find it again.

There are plenty of people (me included) who have nothing but contempt for people who boast about their devotion to whatever religion has them in its grip. "Christians" are so often hypocrites of the worst sort. Religion in general is losing steam everywhere in the world, and those cults that remain active are fueled by violence. They will burn themselves out eventually. If you want to find that Christ Rape image, perhaps you should open a thread with your request in Forum Support & Suggestions. Someone on CDG will surely know more about it.

alexonedeath, thank you for your post. With the Trump administration and the far-right evangelicals running the Republican Party, I personally believe it's getting worse rather than better. I do hope you're prediction is correct and that organized religion will eventually burn itself out. One positive thing is that the older bigots are slowly dying off and being replaced with open-minded millennials, who can think for themselves.

I’m not sure that religion itself is to blame but rather those who us it for their own evil purposes. I am Jewish and proud to be so. That doesn’t mean I believe in Leviticus as a blueprint for life nor that it was god given to Moses. However I do believe that provided religion reforms with time it can be a source of good. The Ten Commandments aren’t a bad thing to follow. And much that Jesus said about loving your neighbour as yourself seems pretty sensible.
Where things go wrong is the interpretation by those who use religion as a cloak for their intolerance. Thus I have no time for the Saudi or Iranian establishments or the charedim or many other sects.

You are correct, lindier. Religions in general began with the right ideas, but were so quickly corrupted. Most people want to be good.

The trouble with all religions is that their god so easily dances to anybody's tune.
Many believers are so stupid it's easy to make them commit terrible crimes in the name of their god,
even though this clearly violates explicit rules in their own 'holy' book.
Even the nazi's had "Gott mit uns" as slogan.

Hi, Kees -- the painting you shared is new to me. I know what you mean about the sexualization of Jesus in art. The one I posted above even shows his pubes! That seems shocking.
