What has failed to be mentioned is that they were warned and they were fired upon using rubber bullets, not live ammunition. There is a difference, however slight. If someone is told to stop doing something and they continue against orders, then they deserve the punishment handed to them. Protests and freedom is all well and good, but there is a method to the madness, not just willy nilly I will do as I please and you can't touch me. It may sound cold, but I am tired of people playing the victim when they full well knew the ramifications and consequences of their actions. We are supposed to feel sorry for them because the big bad government took a stance against them, but if it did nothing, the government would be under protest for doing nothing. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. People need to realize they cannot have it both ways. The government needs to do what it needs to so as to protect the citizen masses and if the citizen masses do not want the government involved, then do nor cry for help when all hell breaks out and chaos and anarchy run rampant. It is fine time people took responsibility for their actions and accepted the consequences, however dire or drastic. The road to freedom and democracy is not always paved with gold or peaceful. This is something everyone forgets. With pleasure comes a fair amount of pain.
