Rapper David Rithyruth, known as "RuthKo", tragically died in a car-motorcycle accident at the age of 25 that took place around 1.30am on January 6, 2025, along 60-Metre Road in the Chak Angre Krom commune of Meanchey district, Phnom Penh. Cambodia.
Originally from Battambang province (Cambodia), he grew up in France. In 2016, RuthKo began producing rap music. By 2018, at the age of 18, he signed a contract with KlapYaHandz, a well-known music production company for rappers and artists.
Ruthko was very popular in his country, performing in big festivals. He also served as a coach on the rap competition show "The Rapper Fighter”.
He had 153k followers on YouTube and over 160,000 followers on Facebook.
