Surprisingly - he survived this dramatic accident - and was taken to hospital with serious head injuries

I think that would be very confusing for me. Should I call EMS to rescue the guy or the emergency window repair guys to see if they can extract the guy without causing more damage. It probably wouldn't be safe to put off the repair as view seems pretty badly obstructed.
