Good evening.

At least 14 people were killed and many more wounded according to initial reports in what so far seems the worst terror attack in Russia in years, as gunmen in combat fatigues opened fire and detonated explosives in a big concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow.

Photos showed the Crocus City Music Hall engulfed in flames as videos emerged from the concert hall attack, showing at least four gunmen opening fire from automatic weapons as panicked Russians fled for their lives.

In one video, three men in fatigues carrying rifles fired at point blank range into bodies strewn about the lobby of the concert hall. The attackers also apparently detonated explosives, as the the sounds of blasts could be heard in other videos from the attack.

Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin called the attack a “great tragedy.” At least 50 ambulances had been dispatched to the site of the attack.

“The attackers presumably opened fire at the entrance to the building during a concert, using automatic weapons, and then a fire began in the building,” said emergency services. Authorities said that up to five people took part in the attack.

Russian media reports said that riot police units were sent to the area as people were being evacuated.

There are also reports that a number of the gunmen may have barricaded themselves inside the building,

Moment when terrorists started killing.

The number of dead is over 40 and the number of wounded is over 150 according to latest udpates from just a few minutes ago with dead bodies seen outside the concert hall as well.

Thanks. Dead bodies outside the concert hall and at the gates.

Moscow has cancelled all the weekend’s mass gatherings, according to its mayor.

Thanks. New to me.

It is too early to know who was responsible for this attack.

But it is notable that two weeks ago, the US issued an unusual warning to its citizens in Russia. It was "monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, to include concerts”.

The message said US citizens should avoid large gatherings over the next 48 hours.

Despite the delay, the similarity in the nature of the target suggests a link might be possible. But there was no indication of who those extremists might be.

The White House has quickly said there is no indication that Ukraine or any Ukrainians were involved in the attack, with a spokesperson saying they wanted to "disabuse" reporters of any connection.

There have been attacks in Moscow in the past – most notably a siege at a Theatre in 2002 which was linked to Chechen fighters.

There will be speculation and different things will be said, Ukraine, Isis.... especially now as long as it is not clear, depending on interest.

Do you remember that a few days ago I talked about the 20th anniversary of the Madrid attack? Well, the press blamed ETA (a regional terrorist organization that was dedicated to assassinating far-right politicians and civil guards) until Isis (al Qaeda) proclaimed itself the author of the attack. Were ETA sons of bitches? Yes, OF COURSE but not to randomly murder almost 200 people for no reason. It was not their way of acting. (although sometimes they do have innocent people dead)

And the same thing will happen here. The press loves to play with people's fear, anf vinculate who interested them

In any case, whoever the culprit was, in the end the victims were citizens who were calmly going to see a funny rock concert.

Yes I remember. It is sad that innocent lives are lost but Russians should rise against their dictator otherwise I only see more of these happening across Russia.

Meanwhile Russia blocked video uploads across all Russian social media sites and I am no longer able to pull any videos there are new ones and uncensored showing dead bodies everywhere.

The Russian national guard are still searching for the perpetrators of the attack on Crocus City Hall.

All so dreadful.

This entire conflict needs to be resolved asap; many here in the USA see the Ukraine as the true warmonger in all tragic this. Further, many Americans want NO MORE FUNDING for the Ukraine which has an egotistical, corrupt leader who is a true total manipulator and LOSER.

Putin has sought a truce and peace multiple times for which corrupt, full-of-himself Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy always rejects though he fully knows he is a total loser and is leading the good people of the Ukraine into war, war, war and so much needless hardship.

Meanwhile Financial Times reports that the U.S. has told Ukraine to stop attacking Russian oil refineriesThe Americans are allegedly worried that the drone strikes risk driving up global oil prices and could provoke Russian retaliation.

I read moments ago the death toll rises to +60 deaths, and near to 200 injured
I wonder how many hot manly men with ripe, stinky socks, manly randy feet & hairy pungent pits got made ta die by a gettin' dead killed.
