Charlie Kirk is in critical condition at a hospital, after being shot at a speaking event at Utah Valley University a while ago.

The university said earlier that a suspect was in custody, and the college campus has closed, and classes have been cancelled.

Seconds before he was shot, Kirk is heard on video answering a question about transgender mass shooters in America. He had been invited to speak by a student group when a shot was fired from a campus building about 200 yards away.

FBI release pictures of 'person of interest' in Kirk killing​

The FBI in Salt Lake City has just released pictures of a "person of interest" in the shooting of Charlie Kirk yesterday.

They are asking for the public's help in identifying the person. They are the first images law enforcement has released of an individual they believe may be involved in Kirk's death.
