Matthew Perry, the beloved actor who starred as Chandler Bing on “Friends,” has died. He was 54.

Police in Los Angeles are investigating Perry’s death, a law enforcement source told CNN. There is currently no foul play suspected, the source said, however, the incident remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division.

Perry died in an apparent drowning accident at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Times, citing law enforcement sources.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey told CNN a 911 call came in at 4:07 p.m. for a water rescue emergency. Humphrey said it is unclear what body of water it was.

Perry was best known for his role as one of the core cast members on “Friends,” NBC’s generation X sitcom from the ’90s.

Perry also appeared in several other hits, including “Boys Will Be Boys,” “Growing Pains,” Beverly Hills, 90210,” “The West Wing” and “Scrubs.”

Way too young RIP.

Several members of the coroner's team rolled the body out on a stretcher and placed it in the van.

First responders who rushed to Matthew Perry's home did not find illegal drugs, but new information from law enforcement sources revealed there were numerous prescription drugs found in his house. Body was found in hot tub and cause of death appears to be drowning.

Au
thorities found anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs and a COPD drug in the house. COPD is short for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease -- that drug is often used for people who have emphysema or chronic bronchitis. Matthew was a smoker during his life. The L.A. County Coroner will conduct an autopsy including toxicology exam to determine if any drugs were in Perry's system, but that could take months.

:RIP:

LAPD investigators say they believe Matthew Perry was murdered following revelations that the Friends star was about to name and shame elite pedophiles in Hollywood.

The investigation into "Friends" actor Matthew Perry's death is ongoing, and as more details emerge, the Hollywood world may be exposed.

The LAPD, the US Drug Enforcement Administration, and the US Postal Inspection Service are working together to try and find out how Perry, who passed away on October 28, 2023, got a hold of the ketamine, which was determined to be the cause of death. While the actor was in ketamine treatment, the autopsy concluded that the drug could not have been administered through his therapy based on the drug's half-life and the timing of his last treatment.

Two big-name celebrities are being investigated concerning Matthew Perry's death, and now the LAPD says charges are expected to be announced and may even include involuntary manslaughter.
