18-year-old football player Thomas Rodriguez found dead in his bed

An 18-year-old soccer player with French second-division club Tours was found dead in bed yesterday.

Midfielder Thomas Rodriguez died overnight from Thursday to Friday, the club said in a statement. No details were given as to the cause of death.


The dead athlete has been taken to morgue where he will be undressed and laid out stak naked on autopsy table.

Rodriguez's death comes just days after Fiorentina captain Davide Astori was found dead in his hotel room after a suspected cardiac.

Thomas's lifeless body will need to be carefully bathed from head to toe, with special attention to the area halfway between those points.
