The most recently known actor Willi Herren, mainly through reality TV formats is dead. A spokeswoman for the Cologne police confirmed information from the “Bild” newspaper that the 45-year-old entertainer was on Tuesday was found dead in his apartment in Cologne. A procedure to determine the cause of death has been initiated. At first she was unable to provide any further information. The police operation at Herren was therefore still on Tuesday afternoon.
Herren was considered scandalous. He publicly admitted years of drug use and was repeatedly targeted by the police, including for traffic offenses and drunk driving.
Herren became known as an actor in the ARD series “Lindenstrasse”, where he embodied the character of Oliver Klatt. Herren later reported that he was thrown out of the now-discontinued series for using cocaine because he was no longer wearable.
Herren recently switched to participating in formats such as “Celebrity Big Brother”, where in 2017 he came in third. On Monday evening he was on Sat.1 in an issue of “Celebrities under palm trees”, where he was one of the participants in the current season. In addition, he appeared again and again on Mallorca at Ballermann as a singer and also published a number of songs.
