It occurred to me that the decapitation might have been accomplished by chain saw.

No, way too clean of a cut. The body wouldn't have remained in position in the chair, and jagged edges would be present. I'd say a very sharp machete or similar blade.

Yes, I agree with you, Mattai. Also, Kinyon said, "I believe that the head was removed elsewhere and the body moved...postmortem." Yes again to that, AND I'm beginning to think the guy was dead before his head was removed, which would have made it much easier to accomplish the very precise decapitation.
