A young Russian with mental problems posted several videos on YouTube a few days ago showing how he completely destroys his own left eye beyond repair.

In the video he says there is a camera hidden in his eye and he wants to pull it out.

Self-blinding is super rare and occurs only in severe psychosis. In majority of cases, patients have untreated schizophrenia.

Self-enucleation is rare, with only about 50 cases reported in medical journals over the past 50 years.

Complications reported include brain hemorrhage, leakage of the fluid that cushions the brain, and damage to the nearby pituitary gland.
