Spain's jobless rate grew by 0.8 per cent to 4.33 million people in March, the largest number since comparable statistics began to be issued in 1996, according to figures released by the Labour Ministry on Monday.

In one year, the number of unemployed has increased by 4.01 per cent.
Unemployment grew in all sectors in March compared to February. The largest number of jobs was lost in the service sector, which registered nearly 15,000 jobless more than in the previous month.

Spain's unemployment rate is the eurozone's highest. European Union statistics put it at 20.5 per cent in February but the actual number is much higher.

Well I hope Spaniards vote PSOE (Socialist Workers' party) out at the next election. I have a very good friend who is a PSC (The Catalan wing of PSOE) councilor of a town outside Barcelona. When he came down to visit me in SA we would get up to the most mind-bowing role-playing imaginable.
I'd still not vote for him though.
