Does anything any human being does to obtain pleasure in life mean anything in terms of the history of life on our planet?

Probably not, we are an intelligent species but that's all we are; animals that are set to die and to become extinct eventually, nothing we do to obtain pleasure really matters when it comes to the history of life, but to think about the perspective of how long ago we were just mere fish swimming in a pond, and this upon billions of years. An average human lives to 75 years of age give or take and thats just one life on this planet. Humans could potentially destroy the earth, but I can say that I'm 99.9% certain ill be dead by the time they get remotely close to it!
