Sinead O'Connor has been left heartbroken by the suicide of her 17-year-old son who was found outside Dublin two days after he escaped suicide watch in a local mental hospital the day before his death.
The singer confirmed the sad news late last night, as she paid tribute to teenager Shane, describing him as the "light of my life".
Police earlier today confirmed the news with a spokesman saying: "Following the recovery of a body in the Bray area of Wicklow on Friday, 7th January 2022, a Missing Person Appeal in respect of Shane O'Connor, 17 years, has been stood down."
